$500 GRANT The above attachment is for the national Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Fund (TASF). Submissions must be post-marked by January 15, 2019. If selected, winners will receive $1,500 award. The top award is $25,000. (This is an earlier due date than the local chapter). The first 10 applications received by postmark date will be evaluated. Subsequent arrivals will be held and/or returned. We will accept applications on a first-come, first served basis. |
Dear Students, Parents, Counselors and Teachers:
The links are two scholarship applications for the high-school graduating seniors, for the CLASS of 2019-ONLY. Each application is required to be legible and complete without blanks (Entries of N/A, not applicable or undecided is acceptable). Leaving blank fields will constitute an incomplete application. Late submissions past the due date will be returned and not evaluated. Both programs award a limited number of students based upon organizational funding. These are competitive programs based upon completeness of the application, two Essays, GPA and need. Submissions will be graded and evaluated anonymously by an independent panel of judges from different disciplines. Pictures are used only for publicity; identity references (names and gender) will be redacted to ensure anonymity to the judges. |
$1,500 GRANT The above linkis for the BGNFP Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen application of a $500 award plus certificate and medallion. Submissions must be postmarked by March 1, 2019. Each winning student will be our guest of honor at our Annual Fund-raising & Honors Gala, at the Lexington Marriott on May 18, 2019. Students should be able to satisfy the "Check-List" in its entirety. Incomplete submissions will render the student's application to a lower ranking or disqualification status. The first 30 applications received by postmark date will be evaluated. Subsequent arrivals will be held and/or returned. We will accept applications as of this notice on a first-come, first served basis. |
Application Procedure: Application forms and instructions
may be obtained from high school guidance
counselors, the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. website
(www.tuskegeeairmen.org), or a Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.
Chapter. Completed applications must be returned
to the nearest Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Chapter on or
before January 15th the calendar year.

High-school seniors in the current graduating
class who will be attending college in the fall
- Each applicant must thoroughly complete the application
- requirements and submit a minimum 500 word essay
- (limited to 1 page) about the Tuskegee Airmen.
- Also required is a minimum 500 word biographical sketch
- of your educational aspirations, career goals and an
- explanation of why financial aid is essential.
